RSS

DUNSANY, Ireland – The United States and Europe are tied, 8-8, as they head into Sunday's singles matches in Ireland. Here are the matchups, tee times and the lowdown (all times Eastern).

5:10 a.m.: Paula Creamer (USA) vs. Catriona Matthew (Europe)

Lowdown: Two Solheim Cup dynamos but Creamer has never lost in singles (3-0) and will leave Killeen Castle undefeated.

Advantage: USA

5:20 a.m.: Stacy Lewis (USA) vs. Sophie Gustafson (Europe)

Lowdown: Key match early. Lewis found something Saturday afternoon and Gustafson hasn’t lost this week.

Advantage: Europe

5:30 a.m.: Morgan Pressel (USA) vs. Anna Nordqvist (Europe)

Lowdown: Pressel was not pleased after sitting the opening session Friday but it has fired her up for the rest of the matches. Nordqvist is quietly 2-1 this week with Annika Sorenstam’s former caddie, Terry McNamara, on the bag.

Advantage: USA

5:40 a.m.: Juli Inkster (USA) vs. Laura Davies (Europe)

Lowdown: Davies wanted this match, and told Inkster to make it happen. It’ll be one for the ages, pitting longtime friends and Solheim Cup stalwarts together for the first time in singles.

Advantage: Europe

5:50 a.m.: Vicky Hurst (USA) vs. Melissa Reid (Europe)

Lowdown: Hurst only played one match and it was a crushing defeat. It’s difficult to know her confidence level. Reid played with Davies and found a spark.

Advantage: Europe

6 a.m.: Brittany Lincicome (SA) vs. Christel Boeljon (Europe)

Lowdown: Lincicome sat out Saturday morning, then was on fire with Creamer in the afternoon. Boeljon didn’t play Day 1 and was 0-2 on Day 2.

Advantage: USA

6:10 a.m.: Brittany Lang (USA) vs. Sandra Gal (Europe)

Lowdown: Lang (0-3) has been one of the biggest disappointments for the U.S. this week but she’s gritty at match play. Gal has played well but doesn’t have much to show for it.

Advantage: USA

6:20 a.m.: Christina Kim (USA) vs. Maria Hjorth (Europe)

Lowdown: Kim is anotherAmerican who only played one match but she did play well Friday when paired with Ryann O’Toole. Hjorth may have too much firepower in this match.

Advantage: Europe

6:30 a.m.: Michelle Wie (USA) vs. Suzann Pettersen (Europe)

Lowdown: This match seems like it’s in a pivotal spot in the lineup. Wie did not putt well Saturday and Pettersen wasn’t at her best either.

Advantage: Europe

6:40 a.m.: Ryann O’Toole (USA) vs. Caroline Hedwall (Europe)

Lowdown: Match of Solehim rookies, O’Toole is 2-0-1 and Hedwall is 2-1. Both have played better than anyone expected.

Advantage: Europe

6:50 a.m.: Angela Stanford (USA) vs. Azahara Munoz (Europe)

Lowdown: Stanford has been a disappointment and Munoz has shined in almost every key position she’s been in this week.

Advantage: Europe

7 a.m.: Cristie Kerr (USA) vs. Karen Stupples (Europe)

Lowdown: Kerr is tired and will play in all five matches, but she’s in the last position for a reason. Stupples has played poorly. If this comes down to the last match, Europe may be in trouble.

Advantage: USA
