With his third PGA Tour win of 2012 at the AT&T National, Woods has come within $1 million of surpassing $100 million in career PGA Tour earnings. The first-place check at Congressional CC brought Woods' tally to $99,037,940 in official money.
His next win will push him over the $100 million mark. The first-place prize at this week's Greenbrier Classic is $1,098,000.
In comparison to the legends he is chasing for golf's ultimate benchmarks, Woods blows the earnings of Nicklaus and Snead out of the water. Nicklaus made $5,734,031 in his PGA Tour career, while Snead made just $713,155. Second place this week pays $658,800.
