Woods, Grace to be paired for third day in row

AKRON, Ohio – If Tiger Woods can’t get his putter working Saturday, he may feel as if he’s living through the plot to the movie 'Groundhog Day.'

For a third consecutive day at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Woods will be paired with South African Branden Grace. They'll tee off at 10:20 a.m.

With Woods and Grace both playing the first 36 holes at 2-over 142, they earned another day together. Woods' first two rounds were similar adventures, with decent ball striking and disappointing putting.

Woods and Grace are the only three-time winners on the men’s major tours this year. Grace won his on the European Tour. This marks the first event he has been paired with Woods. They’ve chatted frequently in what seems a good pairing for both.

“It was great,” Grace said after the first round. “It’s a dream come true for me. Tiger’s been my inspiration in golf.”
