Woods off to horrendous start at The Players

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Moving slowly and struggling with a game that has been in hibernation since Augusta National, Tiger Woods is 5 over through five holes at The Players Championship.

Woods missed the fairway, green and his par putt, all left, at the first and made a mess of the fourth hole.

After hitting his drive into the mounds left of the fourth fairway Woods' approach fell short into a water hazard. From the drop zone Woods' fourth also dropped into the water and he made an 18-footer for triple bogey.

At the fifth hole Woods' drive, his first driver of the day, found the fairway but he pulled his approach left of the green and appeared to be limping after the shot.
