DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Tiger Woods plans to fly to India on Monday afternoon for a corporate outing, but before he makes that trip he will wake up early to watch the Super Bowl, which will be played on Monday morning in Dubai.
Woods said earlier this week he would be rooting for the Broncos to win, despite the fact he is a Raiders fan, and when asked if he planned to watch the game with Fred Couples, who grew up in Seattle and is an avid Seahawks fan, he laughed.
“I think he can watch the first half, maybe,” Woods said. “He has to get an early flight and has to get out of here. We’ll be able to watch the whole game.”
Couples closed with a 70 on Sunday in the fifth group off and joined the gallery following Woods as he was finishing his round.
