Woods wins, but remains fourth in world rankings


Tiger Woods won his third PGA Tour event of the season at the AT&T National, but failed to advance in the Official World Golf Ranking. Woods remained in fourth place, behind Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood.

Americans continue hold six of the top 10 spots as the there was no movement in that cross-section.

Welshman Jamie Donaldson rose to 63rd, from 116th, thanks to his first European Tour victory at the Irish Open.

Bo Van Pelt moved to 24th, from 32nd, after finishing runner-up at the AT&T National. Billy Hurley and Seung-Yul Noh tied for fourth at Congressional. Hurley moved up 160 spots to 279th. Noh jumped 20 spots to break into the top 100, at 99th.
