Grand Blanc Michigan for the 2008 Buick Open was the latest parking spot for the TaylorMade Tour Van last week. TaylorMade was hoping for a back to back win here and got it with Kenny Perrys victory on Sunday.
Makes for a great finish to a busy week for the Taylor Made Tour Department. The theme of the week in the trailer was the new Burner Fairway Wood and Rescue. Launch this week the Dual Crown technology saves weight in the clubhead to lower the CG (center of gravity) and promote more carry and distance. Wade the lead Technician on the tour van said we just go these in last week and we are getting a lot of interest and the feedback has been great from the players.

The look of these heads follow the same trend the of Tour Burner driver. The fast looking Burner head shape permits a deep CG location. This helps the weekend player and the tour player alike more forgiveness and easier to launch. A reader posted on GolfWRX.com Awesome pics, thanks. My shop just got the Burner FW's in today and they do look pretty sweet.

Wade and the rest of the technicians looked to have their hands full. The tour van was not lacking activity. During our visit there were four techs busy building new prototypes and the latest TaylorMade offerings for their staffers. There was new prototype Z TP wedges on board. Unlike the ones offered in retail there were different loft and bounces for the tour players to experiment with. For instance there was a 64* Z TP wedge with 6* of bounce. To much horsepower fir me but the Tour players get what they want. If they test well then we might offer it to the public says TaylorMade. It was a rush to watch the bending, grinding, and assembly. A couple of minutes in TayloMades fast paced tour van will get your attention.
