Bubba shows off U.S.-themed kicks before Olympics

It’s no secret Bubba Watson is excited for the Olympics. In fact, the top-ranked U.S. team member has already pumped up his wardrobe, adding a pair of bright red, white and blue limited-edition, Team USA shoes from G/FORE to his uniform.

Unlike other top players like Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson who withdrew from the Olympics, Watson has held steady and reaffirmed his pride to represent the stars and stripes.

The shoes are waterproof, flexible and offer ankle support. G/FORE has released 250 pairs of the America-themed high-top Crusader to the public, accompanied by a $300 price tag.

High-tops are not new to the tour. Keegan Bradley sported Jordan-brand golf shoes at the 2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational and Michelle Wie is known for her patterned Nike's. Rickie Fowler made a bold fashion statement in January when he wore orange high-top Puma’s at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. Fowler would go on to win the tournament, and if history repeats itself, these kicks might do the same trick for Watson.

We think Michael Jordan would approve of these shoes. Now the real question is, does Bubba have pants to match?
