The U.S. Open is a serious test of golf. But the tournament doesn't start until Thursday, which may explain why Justin Leonard responded in a not-at-all serious way to a ringing cell phone during his practice round on Monday.
The cell phone of a tournament volunteer - whose job, ironically, was to hold up a "Quiet" sign - started ringing as Leonard prepared to tee off. But instead of getting upset, Leonard had some fun with the volunteer. Call me crazy, but I don't think every touring pro would have reacted as well as Leonard.
