Chicago Cubs play Pebble Beach on day off

Fresh off a three-game sweep of the Miami Marlins, the Chicago Cubs and their Major League Baseball-best 66-41 record headed across the country to take on the Oakland Athletics, but not before a quick stop at Pebble Beach Golf Links, a pretty decent little track for those unfamiliar.

During their day off on Thursday in the Bay area, several prominent players on the Cubs, including Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, Jake Arrieta, John Lackey and John Lester got 18 holes in at a course most people only dream of playing.

Rizzo, the superstar first baseman, took to Twitter to share a photo of the experience, thanking Lester, who starts on the mound Friday night against the A's, for getting them a tee time.
