Behind the scenes: Ryder Cup team locker rooms

Well folks, it’s Ryder Cup week. The time when fans dig up their face paint and patriotic wigs, yell at meteoric levels, and faithfully align themselves with the U.S. or Europe.

It’s well known the U.S. team hasn’t had a good track record in recent years. In fact, they’ve only won once in the last seven Ryder Cups (and that was eight years ago).

Needless to say, the players will need everything working in their favor, including their locker rooms.

Check out this behind-the-scenes tour of the U.S. locker room. Inspirational photos of past victorious players and teams hang from the walls. Lockers display the names of golf greats like Jack Nicklaus and Paul Azinger. Celebrity team members Michael Phelps and Bill Murray also have lockers.

A photo of fans holding a sign that says, “not on our turf” completes a perfect atmosphere to prepare the U.S. team before they head out to the course.

And now that we've caught your curiosity, here's a look at the European side.
