It's tough times for Phil Mickelson. He still pays California state income tax. He recently took some not-so-subtle jabs at Ryder Cup captain Tom Watson. And he didn't win a single PGA Tour event during the 2013-2014 season.
Hopefully, there are greener pastures ahead for the 44-year-old.
Perhaps a desire to start anew in 2015 motivated Mickelson to put his 9,100-sq. foot home in Rancho Santa Fe, Cali., back on the market. For the bargain price of nearly $6 million, this Tuscan-style estate can be yours. The home, built in 2000, sits on 4.55 acres and includes seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. It also comes with a putting green, wine cellar (we know how much Phil likes wine), media room, pool, spa and two guest houses.
Mickelson's last attempt to sell this house in July 2013 was unsuccessful, when he listed the property for nearly $7 million.
Here's wishing Lefty better luck this time ... and better luck in the new year.
