The Dallas Mavericks proved Sunday that they weren't quite ready to start their offseason golf regimen, but it took some help from the hottest golfer on the planet to get them there.
The Mavs entered Game 4 of of their Western Conference first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets down 3-0, and they easily could've packed it in. But thanks to a great team effort, and inspired by a green-jacket-wearing, jersey-waving, 21-year-old, Dallas bounced back, cruising to their first win of the series, 121-109.
Spieth was presented with a personalized jersey by Mavs owner and new neighbor Mark Cuban in the second quarter, and got the crowd on its feet by immediately swinging it over his head.
When Dallas' offseason does eventually begin, perhaps Spieth will finally get his wish to play with Dirk Nowitzki, as he stated shortly after winning the Masters. He might want to bring some tips for the big German in case his swing hasn't improved since the last time we saw him on the course.
