Just three weeks after vandals targeted golf carts at Summit Springs Golf Course in Poland, Maine, the carts once again came under attack, this time from a viscous fire.
According to WCSH6, the flames destroyed 20 carts, and while the incident is still under investigation, the State Fire Marshal's office has not ruled out arson.
After being alerted by neighbors, firefighters rushed to the scene around 1:30 a.m. ET Monday and were able to keep the fire from spreading to the clubhouse, likely saving the building from complete destruction.
Although the cause of the fire isn't known for sure, the owners of the golf course said they will be installing security cameras to hopefully catch any incidents in the future on tape.
