A quick glance at Jimmy Walker's second-round scorecard reveals the three-time PGA Tour winner had just two birdies - on holes 10 and 11 - on Friday at the Crowne Plaza Invitational en route to a 2-under 68. But, as the saying goes, he played better than he shot.
That's because, at the par-4 17th, Walker got his most impressive birdie of the day.
He hit iron off the tee, and sent his ball soaring down the middle of the fairway. Mid-flight, the ball hit a bird and got diverted into the left rough. From there, Walker proceeded to make a four. Whether or not he got a birdie or par on the hole, depends on where you're getting your information.
