A mountain to climb

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – Tiger Woods' second bogey of the day should send him into pure desperation mode as he’s searching for his fourth claret jug. He just made bogey on the par-3 eighth hole to move to 2 over on the day and 2 under for the championship, nine shots behind leader Louis Oosthuizen.

Nine shots is a mountain to climb in itself, but the more daunting task will be passing the 38 players that are currently either ahead of him or tied with him. Names Woods will need to pass to be successful over the next 28 holes are, among others, Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, Lee Westwood, Paul Casey and Retief Goosen.
