SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Tiger Woods has cooled off near the end of his first round here at the PGA Championship. He made the turn at 2 under par (he began on the 10th hole) and now is at 1 under after 15 holes at Whistling Straits.
It looked like Woods would have a hiccup on the 598-yard fifth hole when he blew his drive way left. But he took a penalty shot, hit his third on the fairway and got up and down when he converted a 5-footer for par.
Sure, it's early, but you can't help but wonder if seeing Woods' name on the leaderboard will start to make others wonder if the man is back.
