SPOTLIGHT - Henderson Golf Club Savannah Charleston

The Savannah, GA event on March 28th marked the first of the Carolina swing for the JGS team. On a brisk windy March afternoon in Savannah the east coast team embarked on its first event outside the state of Florida. The jr.golfers in Georgia matched the high-level of energy and enthusiasm of their Florida counterparts. Alan Cale and his staff at Henderson Golf Course did a superb job and the facility was in great shape. Judging from the excitement of all the participants it would be a safe to say that Savannah will become a JGS mainstay.
The Junior Golf Skills east coast team moved its show to Charleston, South Carolina on March 31st. Patriot Point Golf Links at Charleston Harbor was the host site for this first-time event. With the USS Yorktown World War II Aircraft Carrier providing the backdrop of the course, Patriot Point Golf Links is not only a beautiful sight but also historical. There was a great turnout for this first year event and despite some light rain the kids had a blast. Chad Leonard and his staff were great to work with and really showed some good old Southern Hospitality.
