Spotlight-Toronto Ottawa

The Golf Channels Drive, Chip & Putt Jr. Golf Skills Competition headed over the boarder to visit the site of the 2002 and 2007 Bell Canadian Open. Angus Glenn Golf Club has also been the site for our Jr. Golf Skills Competition for the last two years. The Crew was very excited to be back in Toronto where two of our National Finalists hale. James Pursell and Humphrey Yeung headed up this years competition with their experience and it was great to have their families back at our event. It was also great to see so many new faces at our event. With the help of new jr. golfers and old, our event in Toronto was a true success. Look to see some of our nine Regional Finalists in Rochester for the Lake Ontario Regional Finals.
The second stop made by our crew in Ontario, Canada was up in the beautiful city of Ottawa. The Jr. Golf Skills Competition was held at The Meadows Golf and Country Club. The Meadows has 36 beautiful golf holes and our jr. golfers were lucky enough to use the 18th fairway and green from the South course to compete on. With sloping greens and rough that was two inches long these jr. golfers showed why Ottawa has some great golfers and why The Golf Channels Drive, Chip & Putt Jr. Golf Skills Competition should come back to Ottawa and The Meadows for a second year.
