Fit Tips Results - Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of Fit Tips & Results. Because many of you have experienced incredible results from your dedicated efforts, I want to share them with those that may be looking for a fitness cure for a particular part of their game or just getting started with a golf fitness workout regimen. I have chosen testimonials that I feel will be beneficial to all. Following the testimony you will see the exercises that the golfer did to achieve his or her results. If you do not have the equipment used in these exercises routines, simply visit the Golf Fitness Pro Shop to acquire the necessary items to get started! If you are just joining us, you can view the first tip from week 1.
 
This weeks tip comes from T. Burns of Annapolis, MD:
I started doing the swing training drills and the strength of keeping my club on the correct plane has improved 100% with the Takeaway and Target drills. I do the entire routine 3 times a week along with my stretch trainer workout.
 
Swinging Drills Routine:
 
1. Swing SLOWLY and DELIBERATELY holding the completion of each drill for 2 seconds.
 
2. Repeat each drill for 12 repetitions before moving on.

Takeaway Drill

Strength Training

1. Start with the Strength Trainer at address.

2. Turn your shoulders and hips to swing the club back to 7:30. Hold at 7:30 for 2 seconds.

3. Then return the Strength Trainer back to the address position.

 
Target Drill

Strength Training

1. Start with the Strength Trainer at address.

2. Turn your shoulders and hips to swing the club back to where the shaft is parallel to the ground. Hold for 2 seconds.

3. Then return the Strength Trainer back to the address position.
