January 1, 2008 I decided to get serious about my golf game and my health. I began with cutting all of my portions in half as Kelly suggested for the first 30 days to cut back on my intake of food. I replaced every other soda with a glass of water. At the same time I walked 2 miles on my treadmill at a brisk pace and did both the golf strength and flexibility DVDs 3 times a week. In my first 30 days I lost 6 pounds! The second month I replaced my potatoes, pasta, rice and breads after breakfast per Kelly with vegetables and added fruit to my breakfast. My mileage increased to 3 miles and after another 30 days I had lost another 8 pounds. I just couldnt believe that after so many years of so many different diets that this was actually working!
Here I am 5 months later 35 pounds lighter.oh I still have another 35 to go, but I feel great and have eliminated all of my medications to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol. I have also summoned the strength to join a ladies 18 hole league next month. I know I have improved my strength because my distance on the range has increased and my focus in putting has dramatically improved. I cant wait to get started this year with a new game, new healthier body, but more importantly a new attitude towards make a life change.
