6,408 challenging yards await the field on the par 35-36 71 course.
Many of the competitors in this weeks field are fresh off the plane from France including Juli Inkster who will attempt to win three consecutive McDonalds titles. Inkster won this event back-to-back in 1999 and 2000. If she wins this week she will join Laura Davies (1995-1997 Standard Register PING) and Patty Berg (1937-1938 Titleholders Championship) in an elite group of players who have won the same event in three consecutive years.
Inksters win last year 281 (-3) did not come close to breaking the tournament record of 267 (-17) which was recorded by Betsy Kiing in 1992 when the event was held at Bethesda Country Club in MD.
Italys Stefania Croce was runner up after failing to hold up in sudden-death. Croce lost on the second hole settling for second place in the end.
The Golf Channel will televise the first two rounds starting June 21 4-6 p.m. ET.
