Officials announced at 3:33 pm that play would be suspended until at least 5:30 pm tonight. Torrential rain accompanied by thunder and lightning resulted in the third weather delay of the day.

First round co-leader A.J. Eathorne was on her third hole of the day, the par-3 13th when play was suspended. Eathorne had maintained her score of 3-under by recording par on the first four holes of the day. Co-leader Cindy Figg-Currier was scheduled to tee off at 1:40 pm with playing partners Helen Alfredsson and Penny Hammel but two earlier rain delays prevented them from doing so.

The current leader, Karrie Webb 5-under-par 70-65 135, completed her Friday round just moments before the second rain delay.
