This is a way we can thank the local police and fire personnel for everything they do for us and to express our appreciation to the U.S. armed forces for their current efforts, Michael Stearns, championship director said in a press release today.

The Tyco/ADT Championship features the top 30 players on the LPGA Tour money list. To receive the complimentary admission, public safety and U.S. military personnel need to show a valid, government-issued identification for access during championship week.
