CanAm Days Champ Wraps Up Myrtle Stint

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.- After a month-long stint in Myrtle Beach, the Canadian Tour wraps up its first-ever trip to the United States with this week's $150,000 CanAm Days Championship.
A starting field of 144 golfers representing ten countries will chase after the $24,000 winner's check on Barefoot Resort's challenging par-72, 7,343-yard Pete Dye course. The U.S. leads the way with 80 players in the opening-round draw, followed by Canada with 47. Australia will be represented by five players, France and South Africa with 3 apiece and New Zealand with two. Ireland, Zimbabwe, Scotland and Mexico are represented by one golfer each.
Jace Bugg (Henderson, KY), who fired a course-record 63 Sunday en route to his first Tour victory at the South Carolina Challenge, will try to nail down his second title in a row. Myrtle Open champion Eamonn Brady, as well Aaron Barber, winner of the Barefoot Classic and the current leader on the Order of Merit, are also slated to compete. Leading the Canadian charge is Rob McMillan of Winnipeg, coming off a second-place finish last weekend.
