ChampionsGate to Host Canadian Q-School

Canadian Tour Commissioner Jacques Burelle announced Tuesday that ChampionsGate, a spectacular 36-hole facility in the Orlando, Florida area will play host to the Canadian Tours Winter Qualifying School for the next two years (2002-2003).
We are obviously thrilled and honoured to be at this gem of a complex, stated Burelle. Greg Normans International and National courses will test these players to their limits from both a technical and mental standpoint. Yet it is a very fair test of golf and one that will truly identify those golfers ready to play the Canadian Tour.'
Speaking on behalf of ChampionsGate, Mike Kelly, Vice-President of Marketing & Development for Meadowbrook Golf Inc. stated, We are excited about the opportunity to partner with the Canadian Tour. ChampionsGate is committed to and believes in the future of the Canadian Tour and wants to be a part of their success. We look forward to hosting the 2002 Qualifying School and other events for years to come.
The 2002 Winter Qualifying School will be held February 11 ' 15. All players will compete for four rounds (two at each course) with the low 60 and ties returning for the fifth and final round on the International course. Twenty full-cards and ten conditional cards will be issued.
