Crown On Line At Bayer Championship

All eyes will be on Huron Oaks Golf Club this week as the McDonald's Order of Merit crown is on the line at the final full-field event of the season, the $200,000 Bayer Championship.
With the event having determined the Order of Merit champion in each of the past two seasons, the $32,000 top prize should determine the title once again this year. In 2000, Steven Alker (New Zealand), on the strength of his season-ending win in Sarnia, won the Order of Merit with over $93,000 in earnings.
Also on the line this week will be awards for Srixon Stroke Average, Most Improved Canadian and International player, as well as Canadian and International rookie of the year.
