The First Tee reached its goal of securing over $100 million in new pledges towards reaching 10 million young people and as a result, so many more people will get to learn about the nine core values and nine healthy habits which are so important to having a quality life. You have to be healthy in order to have a quality life and golf is a great way to teach strong values and inspire a healthy, active life.

Tiger Woods’ commitment to fitness has certainly inspired a great change in how golfers train for tournaments and it has also changed the way a lot of golfers look. Today, there are many examples of real athletes who play professional golf including Dustin Johnson, Suzann Pettersen, and Gary Woodland. Those players could compete in many sports but they have decided to play golf.

The First Tee has many lofty goals but the important thing is that they are meeting and exceeding their goals in terms of raising money and most importantly, in terms of reaching and teaching millions of young people all over the country.

After seeing what the hosts of Morning Drive would give her for her birthday, Annika joked that she sees herself playing at Pebble Beach with Gary Williams on the bag.

When more tournaments are added around the world, you are going to see more of the elite players competing all year long but with so many events, you may not get all of the big names together in one place in the same week. There is a great deal of competition among events to secure the biggest names in golf to play but as long as they are playing, it is good for everyone involved. She is curious to find out what today’s players think because when she was competing, she valued having time off between the end of a season and the beginning of a new one.
