Danny Lee - October 4, 2011

Danny Lee eclipsed Tiger Woods as the youngest U.S. Amateur Champion in history when he won in 2008 at Pinehurst #2 (he held the record for one year before Byeong Hun-An won in 2009) and became just the second amateur to win on the European Tour when he won the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic. Lee called from South Korea and said that on Sunday he did not really feel any pressure and was actually thinking more about making his scheduled flight back to South Korea. With his win and move to 4th on the Money List, he has secured a PGA TOUR card for 2012 and this has been a lifetime dream for him and it still has not completely sunk in. When it comes to the rest of the year, one of his goals is getting to #1 on the Money List at the end of the year but if he is going to do that, he needs to play very well to close the year. His favorite show is The Simpsons and among the family members, his favorite character is Homer Simpson. When he returns to South Korea, every time he gets the clear feeling that golf is growing there and it is a wonderful thing. In fact, he feels the game of golf growing wherever he goes in Asia.
