- Rory Tops TW
Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods did not disappoint in the marquee group in the BMW Championship. McIlroy carded 7 birdies and an eagle to tie the first round lead with an 8-under-par 64. Tiger is one shot back at 7-under-par after putting together 9 birdies and 2 bogeys.
- Tied on Top
McIlroy isn't along atop the leaderboard at Crooked Stick. U.S. Open Champ Webb Simpson, Bo Van Pelt, and Graham DeLaet also shot first round 8-under-par 64's.
- Shin Shines
On the LPGA Tour, Jiyai Shin shot a bogey-free 9-under-par 62 to take the first round lead in the Kingsmill Championship. Paula Creamer is just 3 back after a first round 65.
- Storming Ahead
Graeme Storm shot a course record 7-under-par 63 to set the 1st round pace in the European Tour's KLM Open. Martin Kaymer shot a 65 as he gets his game set for the Ryder Cup.
