Justin Bolli, who began the Web.com Tour Championship in 44th place on the 2012 Money List, moved to 9th place with his win and will be a member of the PGA TOUR in 2013. When asked about his emotions on Sunday, he said that he did not even look at a leaderboard until the 16th hole when he saw he had a 3 shot lead. Once he knew that he had that big of a lead, he had to settle himself down a little in order to play well on the last three holes. Being able to win and return to the PGA TOUR is everything that he could want.
Bolli will be returning to the PGA TOUR from the Web.com Tour for the fourth time in his career and he said that his goal is to enjoy the experience this time. In the past, he has put way too much pressure on himself and tried way too hard to succeed and simply did not enjoy the experience as much as he should have. This time, he wants to enjoy the experience of being on the PGA TOUR and if he can do that, he is confident that he will play better as well.
He went to the University of Georgia and it is wonderful to be among a group of Georgia Bulldogs who have played well this year along with Bubba Watson, Harris English, and Russell Henley. Chris Haack has a great program in Athens and he is always rooting for his fellow Bulldogs out on the Web.com Tour and the PGA TOUR.
There is always a sense of urgency on the Web.com Tour because everyone out there wants to be on the PGA TOUR and with the introduction of the Web.com Tour Finals next year, he is interested to see how the Finals will affect the level of urgency among the players especially late in the year.
Bolli said that he is planning to make his 2013 PGA TOUR debut in the Sony Open in Hawaii. He has played there in the past and he is very excited to return to Waialae Country Club as a member of the PGA TOUR. In fact, it is quite possible that his wife is more excited than he is about going to Hawaii in January.
