2-time U.S. Walker Cup team member Lee Williams earned his first Nationwide Tour win on Sunday in the Mexico Open. Williams said that pressure he felt over his final putt on the 72nd hole on Sunday was the most pressure he had ever felt on the golf course. He knew that you do not get many opportunities to win a big event and he was able to successfully fight his nerves to win. Now that he has won, his priorities are to just keep doing what he is doing and although he would love to win the money title, he is just hoping to finish in The 25 so he can earn his PGA TOUR card for the 2013 season.

Being an Auburn guy, he is not only optimistic about their football team, but he is also optimistic about Jason Dufner. Williams has always known that Dufner is a great player and he also appreciates what Dufner has done for Auburn as a player and also as a volunteer assistant coach in the NCAA Championship at Riviera this year. Dufner has the game to win Major Championships and he has the game to win at The Olympic Club this week. Williams would not be surprised to see Dufner win this week.

He has received a large number of phone calls and texts from friends, family, and sponsors since he won the Mexico Open and it is all very overwhelming. He is blown away and humbled by the support and love that he has received since earning his first win on the Nationwide Tour.
