- Heartwarming Performance: Two-time heart transplant recipient Erik Compton closed with a 7-under 65 on Sunday to win the Mexico Open on the Nationwide Tour. Compton is a 3-time winner on the Canadian Tour but this is his first win anywhere since undergoing a second transplant in 2008.
- Tickets to Royal St. Georges: Pablo Larrazabal defeated Sergio Garcia on the fifth hole of sudden death Sunday at the BMW International Open, the victory earned both players a spot in the British Open just weeks after Larrazabal had lost on the sixth hole of sudden death in an Open Qualifier.
- Insured Victory: Fredrik Jacobson wins the Travelers Championship after posting a final round 4-under-par 66 to beat Ryan Moore and John Rollins by a shot. It is Jacobson's first victory on the PGA Tour making him the eighth first time winner on Tour this year
- Major History: 22 Year old Yani Tseng becomes the youngest woman to win four majors by capturing the Wegman's LPGA Championship on Sunday in Rochester. Tseng closed with a 6-under 66 to lap the field and win by 10 shots.
