Rory McIlroy won the BMW Championship by 2 shots for his 3rd win in 4 starts dating back to the PGA Championship. McIlroy will enter the TOUR Championship with the number one spot in FedExCup points.
- Hanson Heroics
European Ryder Cup team member Peter Hanson made a thrilling eagle putt on the final hole to win the KLM Open by two shots. He won the tournament a day after his 1-year-old son was rushed to the hospital with symptoms of an RS virus. Hanson had constant communication with his wife who told him his son's condition is improving.
