Paula Creamer missed a putt in regulation to win the Kingsmill Championship and she returns to the course to play at least a 9th playoff hole with Jiyai Shin. It is an unprecedented morning on the LPGA Tour and on Golf Channel as they return to the course to possibly cover the longest playoff in LPGA Tour history and she spoke with Golf Channel Analyst Jerry Foltz. Creamer said that it was a crazy day on Sunday but it happens sometimes and she is looking forward to trying to win the tournament. Originally she was planning to be on a plane to the RICOH Women’s British Open but sometimes plans change and she is looking forward to trying to win this morning and then she will worry about getting to England.
This playoff is ultimately a match play competition with Jiyai Shin and you cannot get too far ahead of yourself when you are trying to win in a match play situation. You have to react to the circumstances as they occur and if you have to be aggressive, that is what you have to do.
