- Rory and Tiger: Rory is in the lead thru 36 holes in the Memorial Tournament -- Rory Sabbatini that is. Sabbatini is 6-under par -- with a one-shot lead over 3 players -- including 4-time champion Tiger Woods who shot a 3-under 69 on Friday.
- McIlroy's MC: Meanwhile -- the other Rory -- Rory McIlroy -- missed his 3rd straight cut after shooting a 7-over 79 in the 2nd round. McIlroy will play next week's FedEx St. Jude Classic before defending his U.S. Open title.
- Fantastic Four: Alabama plays California -- Texas plays Oregon in match play today to decide Sunday's final match in the NCAA Men's Golf Championship at Riviera Country Club. Texas won all 5 of its matches on Friday.
- Tied on Top: Stacy Lewis and Mika Miyazato shot matching 6-under 65's to share a two-shot lead after one round in the Shoprite LPGA Classic. Lewis hit 13 of 14 fairways -- and Mika missed just two fairways and two greens in the first round.
