Despite a bogey on his final hole, 3-time Major Champion Padraig Harrington closed with a 4-under-par 67 on Wednesday to capture the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in his third attempt.
- Hurricane Sandy
PGA TOUR Officials have adjusted the schedule for the First Stage of Q-School in Port St. Lucie due to hurricane concerns. Officials have decided to have the field play 27 holes on Wednesday & Thursday with the possibility of no play on Friday.
- Misquoted
That is the claim of Pat Hickey, the head of the Olympic Council of Ireland who was quoted earlier this month offering Rory McIlroy the opportunity to carry the Irish Flag during the opening Ceremony in 2016. The move was highly criticized and Hickey is now saying that the quotes were not accurate and the reporter has apologized

Troy Matteson has the lead at the CIMB Classic after opening with an 8-under-par 63 in Malaysia while Tiger Woods posted a 5-under-par66, Jason Dufner is 5 back after a 68 on day 1.
