2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke returned the Claret Jug to the R&A on Monday to bring an end to his emotional reign as Open Champion. Clarke gets to keep a replica of the Claret Jug.
- Phil Tops Tiger
Sports Illustrated's annual Fortunate 50 earnings ranking shows Phil Mickelson made about $4 million more than Tiger Woods in 2011. It's the first time any golfer has topped Tiger in SI's list.
- Bubba Backing Off?
Bubba Watson says he may have to take driver out of the equation off the tee at Royal Lytham and St. Annes in an effort to find the fairway and not the 206 bunkers scattered across the property.
