Tiger Woods is tied for the lead halfway thru the 112th U.S. Open. Woods carded 3 birdies and 3 bogeys in his 2nd round 70 and is tied with 2003 champion Jim Furyk and 2001 PGA Champion David Toms at -1.
- In the Mix
17 players are within 4 shots of  the lead with 2010 U.S. Open Champion Graeme McDowell is two back at +1. Meanwhile, Hunter Mahan, Matt Kuchar, Charl Schwartzel and Jason Dufner are all +3 heading into the weekend.
- Teen Lead
17-year-old Beau Hossler had the U.S. Open lead by himself for about 10-12 minutes on Friday after birdie at the difficult 1st hole. Hossler was +5 from there and he's now tied for 9th at +3.
