- Women Welcomed
Augusta National Golf Club will have women members for the first time when it opens its new season in October. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and South Carolina financier Darla Moore have both accepted membership.
- Sergio Statement
Sergio Garcia fired a final round 66 to win the Wyndham Championship by 2 shots over Tim Clark. It's Garcia's first PGA TOUR win since the 2008 PLAYERS. It's his 8th PGA TOUR win overall.
- Slocum Sneaks In
Heath Slocum's tie for 31st gave him just enough FedExCup points to get into the PGA TOUR Playoffs tied at number 123. Jason Bohn was the last man in with 363 points, just two points ahead of Jhonattan Vegas.
- Levin Leaves
Spencer Levin withdrew from The Barclays after the sudden death of his brother, Blake. Levin's agent said Spencer would return to the PGA TOUR as soon as time and family will allow. Levin is 45th in the FedExCup points standings.
