- Q-School DQ
6 players are heading to 2nd stage of PGA TOUR Q-School thanks to the actions of Blayne Barber. Barber called the PGA TOUR to disqualify himself 6 days after advancing thru 1st stage. Barber called a penalty on himself for a leaf he thinks may have moved during a shot in his 2nd round.
- Date with Disney
This is the final week for players to get into the top 125 on the PGA TOUR Money List to qualify for membership in 2013. The Children’s Miracle Network Classic begins Thursday at Walt Disney World’s Magnolia and Palm Courses.
- Nike Goes Red
Nike unveiled its newest driver to the world on Monday: the VRS Covert Red Driver with an adjustable head that can be adjusted for lofts ranging from 8 and a half to 12 and a half.
- Jim Flick
Our final headline: golfers across the globe are mourning the loss of world renowned instructor Jim Flick this morning. The 1988 PGA Teacher of the Year who coached Jack Nicklaus and Tom Lehman among others passed away Monday after a long bout with pancreatic cancer. Flick was 82 years old.
