PGA Grand Slam Returns to Thanksgiving

PGA of America (150x150)PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- The 22nd PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the annual event featuring golf's four major championship winners, will return to Monday through Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, Nov. 22-24, at Poipu Bay Golf Course and Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa in Kauai, Hawaii.
 
From 1999 to 2002, the PGA Grand Slam of Golf was contested during Thanksgiving week, and was conducted for the first time in early December in 2003. The PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which brings together the winners of the year's four major championships, was originally scheduled for Dec. 3-4 this year.
 
Offering a $1 million purse, the PGA Grand Slam of Golf will feature Masters champion Phil Mickelson, U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen, British Open champion Todd Hamilton and PGA champion Vijay Singh in a two-day, 36-hole stroke-play event.
 
Poipu Bay Golf Course and the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa marks its 11th consecutive year in hosting the winners of the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship.
