Golf Channel will present a special edition of MORNING DRIVE from Turning Stone Resort’s Atunyote Golf Club on Wednesday, Aug. 28 to deliver on-site coverage of the sixth annual Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation Challenge, a star-studded fundraising golf tournament headlined by Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Rickie Fowler, Charl Schwartzel, K.J. Choi, Nicolas Colsaerts and Henrik Stenson.

Morning Drive will expand to three hours (7-10 a.m. ET) on Aug. 28, with Damon Hack and Holly Sonders reporting live from Atunyote Golf Club.  Featured on the three-hour MORNING DRIVE special will be interviews with tournament host Begay, Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter and the players.  The show also will feature live action of the first hole of play from all three teams.

The NB3 Foundation Challenge, hosted by Golf Channel and NBC analyst Notah Begay III, will feature a field of 12 players representing three teams – Team U.S.A., Team Asia and Team International.  Joining Begay and Woods on Team U.S.A. will be 2010 Ryder Cup member Rickie Fowler and PGA TOUR veteran Bo Van Pelt.  Team Asia features eight-time PGA TOUR winner K.J. Choi, decorated Asian Tour veteran and PGA TOUR pro Charlie Wi and a pair of up-and-coming stars – 2012 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year John Huh and James Hahn.  Team International is led by former World No. 1 Lee Westwood, 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, 2009 PLAYERS Champion Henrik Stenson and Nicolas Colsaerts.

Teams will compete in a best-ball format, with a $400,000 winner’s purse at stake.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Notah Begay III Foundation, which supports the development of sustainable, evidence-based and model programs, research, advocacy and strategic grant making in Native American communities.
