Pairings for Sunday singles at International Crown

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Five teams will battle Sunday for the International Crown.

Twenty players will square off in 10 singles matches.

It begins with a compelling matchup in the leadoff spot, with South Korea’s Inbee Park, winner of three major championships last year, against Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall, a match-play dynamo and European Solheim Cup stalwart. They’re off at 11:30 a.m. at Caves Valley Golf Club.

Japan leads the competition with eight points, followed by Thailand, Spain and Sweden with seven points each and Korea with six points. Every singles victory is worth two points with a halved-match worth one point. The team with the most points collected over four days wins the crown.

The format calls for each player on a team to play somebody from a different country.
