Woods looked rusty but more than capable of quickly regaining the form that’s made him the most dominant player in his era.
Closing with a 3-under-par 69, Woods finished tied for fourth at 11-under 277 in his much hyped return to golf after a self-imposed five-month exile following his crash into his neighbor’s yard and the sex scandal news that followed.
Woods had two eagles, four birdies and five bogeys Sunday.
All in all, it’s a week that has to please Woods. Not only is his game better than many experts expected after a long layoff, but he was warmly welcomed by Augusta National patrons, likely helping his return to regular PGA Tour events.
