Woods still struggling with form

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Reports from practice partners of Tiger Woods aren’t encouraging this week.

It appears Woods’ game is still a mess two days out from the start of The Players Championship.

The Associated Press’ golf writer, Doug Ferguson, reports that Woods hit five balls in the water in Tuesday’s practice round at The Players Championship. And he only played nine holes.

Woods played the back nine, but his five rinsed shots didn’t include any at the famed 17th island hole. He reportedly dunked two shots at the 11th and a shot each at the 13th, 14th and 18th holes.

Woods played Tuesday with J.J. Henry and Pat Perez. His Monday practice round didn’t exactly dazzle Jay Haas, who accompanied Woods. While Haas said Woods hit some good shots, he noted that Woods struggled with some bad shots.
