Course Survey
TPC Scottsdale (Par 71 – 7,216 yards)

-Good ball strikers succeed in Scottsdale: The past two winners, Mark Wilson and Hunter Mahan, have led the field in Greens in Regulation while 2009 winner Kenny Perry finished T3.

-You gotta go low to win: Every winner since 2000 has shot 14-under or better. In 2001, Mark Calcavecchia set the PGA TOUR 72-hole scoring record at TPC Scottsdale (since broken twice).

-TPC Scottsdale isn’t the toughest track: On the 2011 PGA TOUR, the course ranked as one of the Top 10 easiest in Scoring Average, Driving Distance, Scrambling and 3-Putt Avoidance

Top 5: Par 3s in Golf
One of the highlights of the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale is the rowdy crowd and stadium atmosphere of the 16th hole. Where does the par 3, 162-yard hole rank among the best in the game? Billy Kratzert shares his thoughts on the Top 5 Par 3s in Golf (Share your thoughts or Top 5 in the comments section):

1. Augusta National, 12th hole ('You never know what the wind is going to do. Players are never comfortable on the tee.')
2. TPC Sawgrass, 17th hole
3. Pebble Beach, 7th hole
4. Royal Troon, 8th hole
5. Cypress Point, 16th hole
