The only change made to Glen Abbey this year is a rerouting of holes to allow easier access from the range to the first tee and less congestion between the green at No. 9 and the tee at No. 10.
No. 11 is the signature hole at Glen Abbey. The tough, scenic par 4 into a valley requires a long carry to a narrow fairway and a full carry over a creek to a very small green surrounded by three bunkers. Bowman is Integrated Pest Management accredited and has Glen Abbey certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The creek’s valley that runs through the course is home to families of osprey, deer, coyotes, blue herons and owls.
Weather: Scattered thunder storms each day, with temperatures in the mid-to-uppers 70s.
Yardage: 7,273 yards, par 71
Fun fact: It has been reported that a ghost resides in an old mansion on-property. According to eye witnesses it resembles a Jesuit father, and has been seen 'walking up the back stairs and down the main hallway towards the library.'
