17th sorrows for Woods

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A scrappy round turned ugly at the par-3 17th hole for Tiger Woods on Wednesday at the Quail Hollow Championship. Woods pulled his tee shot into the lake and took double bogey to move to 2 over for the day.

It is small solace, however, that Woods has never owned the 217-yard 17th hole. Even in 2007, the year he won his lone Quail Hollow title, he played the hole in 2 over, going bogey-bogey on the weekend.
