AUGUSTA, Ga. – Spotted Hank Haney and Stevie Williams heading for Augusta National’s sprawling new practice tee just past noon on Thursday.
The boss isn’t scheduled to tee off until 1:42 p.m. (ET), but Tiger Woods seems to be planning some last-minute tinkering before he starts his 2010 season under the most glaring microscope the game has ever seen.
As for his playing partners, we saw a relaxed K.J. Choi heading to the locker room. According to Choi’s manager Michael Yim with IMG the Korean doesn’t understand what all the hoopla is about.
We were checking clubhouse bathrooms for Matt Kuchar. Unlike Choi, who has played with Woods on numerous occasions, it’s just the second time Kuchar has played with Woods and the first time since the 2005 Deutsche Bank Championship. Kuchar’s first pairing with Woods, of course, was at the 1998 Masters, when he tied for 21st as an amateur.
